I remember during a Croft cookout in Hudson, Danny was showing off a small, motorized bike he recently got. I asked if I could ride it and he showed me how it worked. Off I zoomed up the driveway and road. On my return, however, I realized I didn't know where the brakes were. I screamed, "How do I stop? I can't stop!" as I barreled toward a crowd of people and trees. Danny just stretched out an arm and scooped me right off the bike! His belly laugh immediately calmed my panic. And that's what I will remember most fondly about Danny--his booming voice and hearty laughter.
