Rudolph "Rudy" Viens Obituary

Chichester – Rudolph (Rudy) Victor Viens, 78, of Chichester, passed away peacefully at the Epsom Healthcare Center on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. The son of Eva and Alfred Viens, he was born on April 28, 1945 in Manchester and raised in Suncook. In his earlier years, Rudy worked in a shoe shop in Manchester. Later, he went on to work for the State of NH as a maintenance worker and groundskeeper for 30 years.

Rudy loved to fish and hunt with his daughters and his friends. He loved going on short trips with his in-laws, Paul and Barbara Merrill. Rudy was very active in the Catholic Church. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus for many years. In 1996, Rudy held the position of State District Warden. One of the Knights that started the Pittsfield/Northwood Council, he held the position of Grand Knight for that Council.

Rudy leaves behind the love of his life, Linda Lawrence Viens, his wife of 44 years; two daughters, Nancy Viens and her son, Calvin Manning of Laconia and Paula Cadorette and her husband, Barry and their children, Mikayla, Mikey and Brandon; a nephew, nieces and many cousins and friends.

Rudy was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Eva Cantara Viens and two brothers, William and Edward Viens.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 884 1st New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood, NH.
