Rita D. (Boisvert) Small

PITTSFIELD- Mrs. Rita D. (Boisvert) Small, 88, of Pittsfield, passed away suddenly at the Concord Hospital on June 20, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Born in Pittsfield, Rita was the daughter of the late Ernest and Beulah (Chagnon) Boisvert.  She was raised and educated in Pittsfield and was a lifelong Pittsfield resident.

In earlier years, she held various jobs and was employed by Pittsfield Shoe, Pittsfield Weaving, the Pittsfield Library and the First Baptist Church.

A devout Catholic, Rita’s faith was strong and an integral part of her life.  She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.  She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, John F. Small, her daughter, Sally Small and her siblings, Roger, Anthony and Omar Boisvert and Theresa Stockbridge.

She is survived by her son, William Small and his wife Judy of Epsom and her sister, Dorothy Chagnon of Pittsfield.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 23rd from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.  Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 6:30 P.M.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24th at 11:30 A.M.  Burial will follow in Mt.
