Mary Ellen Bemis

HILLSBOROUGH- Mary Ellen Bemis, 58 of Hillsborough, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Concord Hospital.

Born on October 19, 1961 in Westerly, RI, she was the daughter of Antonia S. Burgess of Hillsborough and the late Herbert S. Burgess, Sr.

She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Maple Leaf Nursing Home in Manchester and was more recently employed for Barett & Gould of Hillsborough. Mary Ellen was a loving and devoted, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend to many. When her boys were younger, she had the house that they all wanted to hang out in, she always enjoyed the company of others. She loved her plants and she loved animals, mostly cats.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her son Ryan Burgess in 2019 and her brother, Hebert Burgess, Jr.

Besides her mother she is survived by her son, Brett Lachapelle and his girlfriend, Alexis Taillon of Hillsborough, brother, Kenneth Burgess of Hillsborough, sister-in-law, Debbie Burgess of Sarasota, FL, nephew, Ross Burgess and his girlfriend Brenna Taylor, Great nephews, Grayson and Kaiden Burgess, Longtime family friend, Brett Nickerson of Hillsborough, Longtime friend and co-worker, Lucille Lovern of Hooksett as well many aunts and uncles from Westerly, RI, Hope Valley RI and Pawcatuck, CT.
