Linda Cardone Obituary

MANCHESTER- Linda K. Cardone, 72, of Manchester formerly of Concord, NH, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2023 in Bedford, NH

Linda was born and grew up in Ann Arbor MI., the daughter of Attilio S. “Ty” and Anna H. Cardone. She graduated from Concordia High School and Concordia Teachers College (now University) in Seward, NE., first teaching HS English and Drama in Queens NY for 3 years. Linda then worked in Membership Projects at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in Manhattan for 8 years. Like her brother, Wesley, Linda became a genius at whatever she obsessed on, so her family asked Linda, the “writer” in the family, to help with the following:

“I moved from NY to NH in 1985 to be nearer my sister and friend, Kathy Holmes. As Director of the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce, I brought Jumping in the Clouds (an equestrian event)with the sponsor Mercedes Benz to replace the Tennis Volvo Tournaments which they were losing. That job took everything out of me so I began researching computers to facilitate writing a sequel to “Gone With the Wind”. After discovering the Mac computer, I saw a new world and career open up for me. Operating as Card One Communications in Concord, NH where “The pen is mightier than the sword”, winning “Desktop Publisher of the Year” from Mac User Magazine in 1987. I also developed what Adobe Publishing labeled “cutting edge work” using one and two color print processing to keep clients' costs low AND produce impressive results.

I've missed my middle sister, Phyllis, much these last thirty years but am excited to see her again. My future is secure in Christ my Savior. As He has said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. …... apart from Me you can do nothing”. I owe everything I was, am and will be to the Lord.”

Linda was predeceased by her parents and sister, Phyllis Cardone Hauschen, of Bardstown KY.

Linda is survived by her brother, Wesley Cardone (Sandra) of Chelsea, MI and sister Kathy Cardone Holmes (Robert) of Chichester, NH: and several nephews and nieces.

The family has planned no services. Although Linda has a plaque at the Arbor Hills Cemetery in Ann Arbor, she asked that her ashes be tossed into the wind atop Mt. Washington, New Hampshire's highest mountain.  Assisting the family with arrangements is The Roan Family Funeral Home of Pembroke.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.roanfamilyfuneral.com
