Lilla Riley Obituary

EPSOM- Mrs. Lilla M. (Robinson) Riley, 91, of Epsom, passed away at the Epsom Healthcare Center on June 2, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Born in Concord, Lilla was the daughter of the late Earl and Blanche (Hodgman) Robinson.  A self-proclaimed “Concord Girl,” she was raised and educated in Concord and resided there for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, Lilla was employed as a clerk for the Prescription Program of Blue Cross & Blue Shield.  She also worked as a seamstress for the Master’s Wives at St. Paul’s School.

Lilla was a proud member of the Concord Lodge of Elks along with her late husband and also served as the Lodge’s first female exalted ruler.  She was a talented seamstress, cook and baker.  She especially loved making donuts and hot chocolate every Halloween.  Neighborhood children and parents always looked forward to that yearly tradition.  Lilla enjoyed teaching her crafts to her children.  She cherished her Friday night card games with her sisters and also enjoyed bowling and dancing.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Riley, her granddaughter, Jennifer Kimball, and her siblings, Nita Raby, Carol Sullivan, Irene Wunderlich and Bill Robinson.

Lilla is survived by her three children: Darlene Leclair and her husband Stephen of Biddeford, ME, Donna Baron and her husband Bruce of Barnstead and Tammy Riley of Epsom.  She was the grandmother to Michael Leclair, Matt Baron, Greg Baron, Kevin White, Dan White and Cam White.  She was the great grandmother to Briella White, Brody White, Anderson White, Eliza White, Griffin White, Molly Libby-Baron and Maggie Libby-Baron.  She is also survived by her great great grandchildren as well as her brother, Doug Robinson and his wife Emma of Homosassa, FL and her brother-in-law, Edward Raby of Epsom.
