John Cimba Obituary

PEMBROKE- Mr. John Cimba, 61, of Pembroke, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 24, 2020.

Born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, John was the son of the late John and Anna (Dzvonik) Cimba.  He was raised and educated in the Greater Pittsburgh area. 

After graduating from high school in 1977, John enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 8 years, being honorably discharged in 1985.  He had been a resident of Pembroke for over 30 years.

John held many jobs throughout the years, most notably as a Senior Business Development Director for General Dynamics Global Imaging Technologies and as a Project Manager for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

John was a longtime member of the Concord/Epsom Lodge of Elks # 1210.  He enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and reading.  As an avid hockey fan, he enjoyed attending Manchester Monarchs games with his family and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins

John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jamie L. (Mathewson) Cimba; his daughter, Kaitlyn Cimba of Houston, TX; his brother-in-law, Jim Mathewson, his wife Shannon and their children of Holland Patent, NY and his mother-in-law, Alice Buddle and her husband Peter of Whiteboro, NY.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, February 1st from 4 to 5 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke.  Words of Remembrance and Military Honors will follow at 5 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be sent to the charity of your choosing.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
