Helen Case Obituary

PEMBROKE – Helen A. Case, 71, of Pembroke, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, surrounded by her loving children.

Born on January 22, 1950 in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Jeanette (St. Laurent) Flattery.

Helen was educated in the local schools and attended boarding school away from home. Though she married young, she continued her college education over the course of many years, eventually earning both an Associate’s degree from NHTI and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Springfield College. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the Activities Coordinator for Havenwood in Concord.

Music was Helen’s passion. She loved to sing and play guitar and even had dreams of playing the bagpipes one day. She was a devout woman of faith who participated in music ministry and taught CCD for many years at St. John the Baptist in Allenstown. For the past 20 years, she was attending Word of Life Christian Fellowship in Concord. Helen enjoyed going out to eat, going to the beach, clog dancing, lemon filled donuts and any time she spent with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick Flattery, Jr. and Edward Flattery, her very dear Uncle George and Aunt Florence Cole, and a grandson, Timothy Bledsoe.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Bringhurst and significant other Joseph Labbe of Merrimack, Laurie Lawler and her husband Jeffrey of Epsom, Michael Case and his wife Stephanie of Reisterstown, MD and Brian Case and his wife Heather of Rutland, VT; grandchildren, Deeanna Derosier, Alexandria LeBlanc, John William Bringhurst, Patrick O’Brien, Jr., David O’Brien, Daniel O’Brien, Isabella Lawler, Elaine Case, Claire Case and two more blessings due in July.  She was very proud of her great-grandchildren Allyssa, Harper, Emery and Brady and was excited to meet little Callen this month.

A walk thru visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21st from 10 to 11 A.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke.
