Geraldine Mae Jordan

CHICHESTER – Geraldine Mae Jordan, 89, of Chichester, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 9, 2021 with her family by her side.

Born on May 25, 1931 in Ossineke, MI, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Stella (Kaiser) Marek.

Geraldine was the owner and operator of the Fireside Inn Restaurant in Sturgis, MI for 22 years until her retirement. She was an extraordinary baker and was known for her famous strawberry jam. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching and in earlier years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband David, especially to Las Vegas.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Lloyd LaCross and also by her second husband, David Jordan; two sons, Dennis LaCross and Darald LaCross; her stepchildren, Lisa Jordan and Steven Jordan and her 8 siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra LaCross and her wife Dawn of Chichester; daughter-in-law, Diane (Glenn) Glasser of FL, her stepchildren, Mary and Phil Velie and Mike and Lisa Jordan all of Michigan; eleven grandchildren, Chad (Erin), Summer (Delmar), Tonia (Brian), Larry, Tiffany (Thomas), Felicia (Tim), Ryan (Sabrina), Brittany (Jacob), Leah, Jace and Haley, 18 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A walk-thru visitation will be held on Friday, January 15th from 5 to 6 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1271 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom.  In accordance with state and local guidelines, all attendees must wear face-coverings and adhere to social distancing as directed.
