Ernest P. Wiswell

LACONIA – Ernest P. Wiswell, 79, of Laconia formerly of Pembroke, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his residence with his wife by his side.

Born on July 6, 1942 in Orrington, ME, he was the son of the late Herbert and Irlene (Severance) Wiswell.

Ernest was educated in the local schools and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy. Upon his return from the Navy, Ernest relocated to NH where he worked for many years with Sprague Electric and later with AIG as a computer operator until his retirement. He enjoyed taking care of his plants and flowers in his garden, coin collecting and took an active role with the Boy Scouts in the local troop.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Wiswell.

He is survived by his wife Anita (Brisbois) Wiswell of Laconia with whom he shared 53 years of marriage, daughter, Brenda Wiswell and her spouse, Mary O’Donnell of Ctr. Barnstead, son, Carl Wiswell and his wife Julie Hixon Wiswell of Colorado Springs, CO, two grandsons, Joshua Wiswell and Jack Wiswell,  siblings, Donald Wiswell and his wife Felicia of Orrington, ME, Shirley Wilson of Dover and Carol Lee Nelson and her husband John “Junior” of Eddington, ME as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
