HOOKSETT – Denysa M. Vaillancourt, 87 of Hooksett, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester with her loving family by her side. Born in Bishopton, Quebec, Canada on June 17, 1934, she was the second oldest daughter of ten children born to Philibert and Louise Eva (Jacques) Lessard.
Denysa grew up and went to school in Bishopton, Quebec, Canada. She moved to the US in 1961. She was a homemaker for many years, lovingly caring for her own children and other children in her home daycare. When her children were grown, she worked in local retail establishments. Most memorable was the summer of 2004 when they visited 38 states, including Alaska driving and camping the entire way. Denysa was an active member of the American Canadian Association, Hooksettites as well as the Catholic Women’s Club and a communicant of Holy Rosary Parish in Hooksett. She was very hard working and always willing to help others and especially loved her volunteer work at the Hooksett thrift store. She was outgoing and friendly and would talk to random strangers everywhere. She loved to spend time with her friends, family and particularly her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, George Vaillancourt of Hooksett, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage, children, Maryse Prescott (Prezel) of LaGrange, GA, Josee Eaton (Donald) of Bedford and Eric Vaillancourt (Jennifer) of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren, Natesha Vaillancourt (James DiLorenzo, II), Kingston Prescott, Telyia Prescott, Courtney Eaton and her fiancé, Patrick Costello, Christian Eaton and Ella Vaillancourt, great grandchildren, Isabella Prescott, James DiLorenzo, III and Nina Denysa DiLorenzo.
