Yvonne L. (Thibeault) (St. Germain) Petit

ALLENSTOWN- Mrs. Yvonne L. (Thibeault) (St. Germain) Petit, of Allenstown, passed away at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center on September 17, 2018 after a period of declining health. As Yvonne, always proud of her age, would have said, she was almost 96.

Born in Newmarket, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Graziella (Dionne) Thibeault.  She was raised and educated in Allenstown and loved her home in Allenstown, where she resided for more than 60 years. On most Saturdays, she could also be found in Concord and Manchester enjoying her favorite pastime, shopping.

Prior to retiring in 1993 to help care for her grandchildren, Yvonne was employed as an assembler for over 20 years at the General Electric Company.  She was also a former member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality at St. John the Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Robert St. Germain and Albert Petit, her son-in-law, Lionel W. Martin, Jr. and her sister, Madeline Murray.

Yvonne is survived by her three children: Maurice St. Germain, Michelle L. Petit and Ruth A. Martin all of Hooksett.  She was the loving mémère to Lindsay Martin, Shannon Martin and Joshua Martin.  She was the sister to Cecile Geddes of Manchester.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, September 23rd from 3 to 7 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 24th at 10 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.  Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
