William M. “Billy” O’Connor, 57, of Strafford, formerly of Northwood, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 13, 1961 in Concord, he was the son of Sandra (Lawrence) O’Connor of Rochester, step-son to Gloria O’Connor of Chichester and son of the late John “Jack” O’Connor.
Billy worked for many years as a truck driver, owning J.W. O’Connor until 2008. He was known as a modern day MacGyver, he was very handy and could fix everything. Anything he could do to keep busy made him happy. Fishing, trapping and smoking meats also brought him great joy as well as going to his camp in West Stewartstown.
Besides his mother and step mother he is survived by his wife Nicole(Gould) O’Connor with whom he shared 15 years; son, Dillon O’Connor and his wife Devon of Raymond; daughters, Michelle O’Connor Banther and her husband Steven of Verona, MI and Ashley O’Connor of McAlester, OK; step daughter, Bethany Socha of Boston; brothers, Edward “Eddie” O’Connor and his wife Jennifer of Strafford, Richard “Dickie” O’Connor and his wife Jill of Northwood and John “Johnnie” O’Connor and his wife Louise of Utah; grandchildren, Jackson M. O’Connor, Hunter W. O’Connor, Liston Lang, Tegan Lang, Nadia Banther, Austin Browne and Kiley Browne; his uncle, Jim O'Connor and his wife Cathy of Northwood, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 starting at 1 P.M. at his Brother Eddie’s residence, 1625 Province Road, Strafford.
