NEW HAMPTON- Heatha Lyn Slayton, 48, of New Hampton, passed away on October 14, 2018 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.
Born in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of Catherine (Charity) Averill of Maine and the late Richard Roderick.
Prior to her illness, Heatha was employed as a customer service representative for Market Basket in Concord and Tilton for 18 years. She enjoyed cooking, football and above all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Bradley “Brad” Slayton; her daughters, Metalia Bento of Manchester, Monica Purtell of Loudon and Melyssa Slayton of Manchester; her grandchildren: Kendra, Evalyn, Lorelei and Makenzie; and her siblings: Marc Roderick of Missouri, Julie Aspiras of Ohio, Karen Green-Rinaldo of Maine, Steve Stomsky of Maine, Marc Stromsky of Florida and Tony Stromsky of Maryland.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, October 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. Pastor Jon Rose will offer words of comfort during the evening session. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr. #110, Bedford, NH 03110.
