Gary Bournival Obituary

ALLENSTOWN – Gary M. Bournival, 63, of Allenstown, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester on March 10, 1955, he was the son of Cecilia (Manning) Lajoie of Bedford and the late Maurice A. Bournival.

Gary was employed as a receiving inventory clerk for over 39 years at Velcro USA Inc. Gary was a man of faith who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a regular attendee of Trinity Baptist Church in Concord. He was passionate about running and sports. He was a member of the Athletic Alliance Running Club in Manchester and ran in over 20 marathons. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing in the coed softball league in Concord and was a member of the Sunday Morning Softball League out of Manchester.

Besides his mother, Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rose (Phillips) Bournival of Allenstown; daughters, Jennifer Hall and her husband Ben of Concord and Kristen Halle of Concord and her partner Milton Gonzalez; siblings, Kenneth Bournival and his wife Pat of Clearwater, FL, Shirley Hagan and her husband Dan of Manchester, Kevin Bournival and his wife Terry of Manchester, Russell Bournival and his wife Michelle of Manchester; grandchildren, Andie Hall, Korey Whittum and Kendra Whittum, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a large extended family with his in-laws.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 6th from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 7th at 12 Noon in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Mammoth Road, Hooksett, with doors opening at 11:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Head Cemetery in Hooksett. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gary’s memory to Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association – Hospice, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301.
