June 8, 1931 ~ November 21, 2016 (age 85) 85 Years Old


CANDIA- Mr. Paul T. Beard, 85, of Candia, passed away suddenly on November 21, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on June 8, 1931 in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Benjamin and Ida (Collier) Beard.

Paul was proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was later employed as a Truck Driver for True Value-Cotter and Company for many years. He also worked for Smith Transportation and Nelson Freight. Mr. Beard was a proud member of the American Legion Post #37 as well as the International Brotherhood of Teamster (Retirees Chapter, Local 633). He enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time at the Allenstown Senior Center.

Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife Dolores (Dube) Beard in 2010; his grandson Roger P. Beard in 2011 and his siblings, Arthur, Ralph, Roger, Glenn, Leon, Frank, Eva, Pearl, Marjorie and Elsie.

Mr. Beard is survived by his son, Roger G. Beard of Florida; his daughters, Ruth Adams of Maryland, Pauline Laliberte and her husband Gerard of Suncook, Patricia Upton and her husband Kenneth of Manchester; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 27th from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 28th at 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Church, Allenstown. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Buck Street Cemetery, Pembroke.
