Donald M. Lavoie

ALLENSTOWN – Donald M. Lavoie, 84, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 25, 1932 in Allenstown, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Boucher) Lavoie.

Donald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a production manager at MRF until his retirement. Mr. Lavoie enjoyed building model airplanes and camping. He had recently started building things with Legos as well.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings, Theresa Neveu, Gerard Lavoie and Roger Lavoie.

Donald is survived by the love of his life, Claire (Verville) Lavoie of Allenstown with whom he spent 63 years of marriage; his son, Bernie Lavoie and his wife Kim of Loudon; daughters, Jeannine Lavoie of Allenstown and Elaine Cate and her husband Bill of Boscawen.  He was the Peperé to Bernie Lavoie, Bruce Lavoie, Brandon and Erica Lavoie, Danielle and Nick Karwocki and Joshua Cate; Great Peperé to Morgan, Amber, Myah, Jaxon, Marcus and Carmen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. Interment will take place at a later date.
