Daniel R. Remi

PITTSFIELD- Mr. Daniel R. Remi, 67, of Pittsfield, passed away on July 8, 2017 after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Paquette) Remillard.  He was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School.  He later graduated from Nathaniel Hawthorne College.

Dan worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years.  He was an avid music-lover who also enjoyed painting, nature, woodworking, trips to Cape Cod and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was also an ordained minister for several years.

He is survived by his dear companion of many years, Marion Ruocco of Pittsfield; two children, John D. Remillard of Vermont and Kimberly Kirk of New Hampshire; three sisters, Donna Remillard of Florida, Brenda Wegrzyn of Florida and Janice Helt of Texas.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
