Dana W. Hamel

Dana W. Hamel, 47, of Allenstown, passed away on February 18, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 24, 1969 in Concord, he was the son of Walter J. Hamel and the late Lorraine C. (Vezina) Hamel.

Dana worked as a Manager and Sales Associate for many years at Steenbeck & Sons which later became Big Jims. Time away from work was better spent at the race track. Dana enjoyed watching Nascar races both from home and at the New Hampshire International Speedway, cheering for his favorite driver, Kevin Harvick. He also like to cheer for the Cowboys during Football Season.

Dana was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine C. (Vezina) Hamel who passed in July, 2016.

Besides his father, Dana is survived by his brother Scott Hamel and his wife Tara of Concord; niece, Laura Michelle and Nephew Evan Joseph.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, February 23rd from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 24th at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, Allenstown.
