Betty Kudrick Obituary

HOOKSETT- Elizabeth “Betty” Kudrick, passed away on January 31, 2018 after a sudden illness.

Betty was born on August 12, 1948, the second child of George and Gertrude (Scott) Kudrick.  She spent her life in Hooksett and attended elementary school there.  Betty graduated from Pembroke Academy and Plymouth State University, and went on to obtain her Master’s Degree at The University of Maine in Orono, Maine.

She spent her 40-year teaching career in the Math Department at Trinity High School in Manchester.  In addition to teaching math, Betty was a fixture at all of the sporting events, and acted as the unofficial photographer at all school activities.  She was proud to have coached the girls’ soccer team to a State Championship in 1980, as well as having coached softball, and she ran the scoreboard during basketball games.  You name the event and she was there.  She was inducted into the Manchester Catholic High Schools Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of her support of sports in school.

After retirement from Trinity, Betty enjoyed golfing (especially very early in the morning with her brother when nobody else was on the course), road trips, and she went to Ireland and Alaska with her traveling buddies Phil and Barbara Nelson.  She was quite fond of making cookies and delivering them to her Trinity colleagues and the staff at the Hooksett Tax Collector’s Office.  How she enjoyed her leisure time!

She is survived by her siblings: Bruce Kudrick and his wife Paula (JoAnn) of Pembroke, Lynn Nault and her husband Ray of Florida, and Richard Kudrick of Arizona.  She also leaves behind two nieces, Darcy Clark and her husband John of Northfield and Kimberly Blichmann and her husband Michael of Pembroke.  The lights of her life were her grandnephew, Jack Clark and grandniece, Lindsey Blichmann.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday February 6th from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory may be sent to the Guardian Angel Fund at Trinity High School, 581 Bridge St. Manchester, NH 03104.  To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.petitroan.com
