<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_115042.jpg" alt="Donna D. Holmander" />Mrs. Donna D. (Chapman) Holmander, 65, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Concord Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in York, ME on December 2, 1946, Donna was the daughter of George Chapman, Jr. of York, ME and the late Viola (Shaner) Chapman.  

Donna earned a radiology certificate from Northeastern University and interned at the VAMC in Jamaica Plain, MA.  As a radiologist, she worked at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. She was enrolled in the University of Phoenix, where she earned her Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice and was only one course shy of completing a Bachelor of Science degree. 

Mrs. Holmander had been an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Portsmouth, the York Street Church in York, ME, and the Free Will Baptist Church in So. Berwick, ME.  She loved children and surrounded herself with them.  No matter where she lived, she offered day care services from her home.  She was also a church volunteer, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, as well as working with the Pioneer Girls.

Donna’s passion in life was people.  She loved her home, and cooking for her friends and family brought her such joy.  Everyone who knew Donna looked forward to receiving her delicious pumpkin bread on Thanksgiving.  She was always just a phone call away if you ever needed to talk, and she was always ready to listen.  Donna always put others before herself and cared deeply for those in need.  Most recently, her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, and she took great delight in spoiling them.  

In addition to her father, Donna is survived by her husband of 37 years, David Holmander of Epsom; her daughter, Amy Phillips and her husband Robert of Carlsbad, CA; two grandchildren, 2 ½ -year-old Graye Elise and 1 year old Lleyton Cort; a brother, Gregory Chapman of Cape Neddick, ME; and 7 nieces and nephews.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_113803.jpg" alt="Jane Bell" />Mrs. Jane (Janina Czerwinska) Bell, 91, of Main Street, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Concord Hospital.

The daughter of Boleslaw and Czelawa (Peltak) Czerwinska, Jane was born in Manchester on August 16, 1920, and had been a Northwood resident for 70 years.

She had worked as a waitress for Johnson’s Dairy Bar for 20 years and since she loved flowers, had also spent time at Pleasant View Gardens.

In addition, Mrs. Bell had served as Ballot Clerk for the Town of Northwood.  She was a 4-H leader and often volunteered at Coe-Brown Academy functions.  She loved reading, crossword puzzles and was an avid Jeopardy fan.  

The widow of Harold Ames Sr, who died in 1971, and Paul C. Bell, who died in 1993, Jane was also predeceased by her three sons, Harold Ames, Jr., Michael Ames, and Anthony Ames; and her two sisters, Laura Cerwenska and Jenny Carr.  She is survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_114849.jpg" alt="Frederick Hurd" />Frederick E. Hurd, 62, died January 24, 2012 peacefully at home after a
long illness.

He was born in Lynn, MA on August 24,1949,  the son of Donald and Nellie (Marston)
Hurd. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1967 and of Norwich
University, Class of 1972.

Fred was employed as assistant Vice President by the Northfield Savings Bank in Vermont for over a decade. He was also employed by TransEd Assembly Plant in Brattleboro, VT as plant manager. He ended his career as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist for both Financial Freedom and Bank of America before retiring in 2009.

He held the title of National Association of Securities Dealers and was also licensed for
life and health insurance through the state of Massachusetts 

He was very active in the community and state organizations, including Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club International, Boy Scouts of America and Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation. He was also a member of the Concord Rotary Club. 

He enjoyed riding his Harley, cooking gourmet meals, playing guitar and grooming his favorite horse &quot;Stoney&quot;.

He leaves his beloved wife Sandra (Chouinard) of Loudon; his parents Donald &amp;
Nellie Hurd of Sun City Center, FL; two daughters, Julia Greene and her husband
Thomas of Hudson, and Evelyn Shields and her partner Vanessa Roy of Brighton, MA;
two granddaughters, Emma &amp; Nora Greene both of Hudson; a sister, Barbara
Calney and her husband Kenneth of Sandy, Utah; brothers -in-law, Conrad Chouinard
and his wife Madelyn of Swampscott, MA, and Martin Chouinard and his wife Lisa of
Danvers, MA; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition he leaves two close childhood friends, Dennis Comeau of Revere, MA and Charlie Sabanty of Danvers, MA and longtime friends Frannie McAllan of Denville, NJ and Bob Wechsler of Stowe, VT.

	He was born in East Boston on January 10, 1913 to Ethel (Smith) &amp; Watson MacCleery.
	Russell worked in many different capacities involving agriculture and transportation throughout the country.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_111130.jpg" alt="Jason Tyler Ludwick" />Jason Tyler Ludwick, Loving and Precious Son, went to be with God on December 17, 2011 at the age of 37.  He was born on October 23, 1974 in Concord, to Donna Marie (Jensen) Ludwick and Stephen E. Ludwick.

Jason was predeceased by his Grandparents William and Lillian Boissy, Dorothy Ludwick and Edward and Thelma Jensen. Also, loyal companions Todd, Lightning, Thunder and Baby.

Jason grew up in Concord graduating from Concord High School with the Class of 1993.  Jason worked on the Gunstock Ski Patrol and then he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon completion of Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in TX, he was assigned to Sheppard AFB in TX, Scott AFB in IL, then Mt. Home AFB in ID where he worked as a Medical Technician, specializing in the elderly and the young. Following in his father’s footsteps, he also worked on the ambulance as an EMT.  After an Honorable Discharge, Jason worked as a phlebotomist traveling to nursing homes throughout the State for NH Medical Labs, Path Labs and Lab Corp. Then Concord Hospital.  After a change in careers Jason worked for Olympic Paint, then Lowe’s in Hooksett.  He was scheduled to leave for Arizona on December 31, 2011 to begin a new job in his chosen field of phlebotomy.

Jason was truly a loving man, with a heart of gold and a warm smile, who spread love and happiness wherever he went.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jason is survived by his parents, Donna and Stephen Ludwick, his brother, Jason Crosby Ludwick, wife Amy, nephew Crosby and niece Olivia of Lebanon, ME, his Aunt, Carol Jensen of Concord, his Aunt and Uncle Vicki and Ed E. Jensen, of Belmont, his Cousins Cean Jensen, wife Lorraine and daughter Jasmine, of Fountain Hills, AZ, Steven Jensen, wife Amber and daughters Sydney and Hanna of Holden, MA, Heather Hartford, husband Pieter and sons Benjamin and Jack of Andover, MA. Jason is also survived by his beloved boxer companion Sophie.

Born in Berlin on March 9, 1945, John was the son of Herman and Alma Louise (Daggett) Taylor.

After graduating from the NH Police Academy, John served as the Chief of Police in Sunapee, worked for the Pembroke Police Department for a short time, and spent most of his career with the Newport Police Dispatch.

He enjoyed fishing and loved good food, whether eating or cooking.  As a cook, his specialty was chili.

The widower of Ruth Ellen (Sawizky) Taylor, John is survived by 2 daughters, Jessica Anzalone and her husband Tony of Chichester and Kristine Stanley and her husband Michael of Pittsfield; 2 grandchildren, Jacob Salach and Nichole (Stanley) Hanson; a sister, Mary Beth Donahue of Whitefield; and nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by a brother, George.

In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by 2 children, Jace Colton Michaud of Pittsfield and Maikayla Sierra Guild of Concord; her husband, Martin Michaud of Center Barnstead; a brother, Michael Guild of Seabrook; and several aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.  Amanda was the mother of Avery Connor Michaud, who also lost his life in the accident.

Born on April 30, 1962 in Manchester, Marion was the daughter of the late Maurice Letendre and Elaine (LaForge) Letendre of Pittsfield.

Marion graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1980 and was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service in the Concord office, delivering to Bow.

She’d been a resident of Pittsfield for the past 23 years and enjoyed gardening and reading. Most of all, however, Marion loved motorcycles in general and riding her Harley specifically.  

Marion is survived by her husband of 25 years, Philip “Sparky” Gordon of Pittsfield; 2 children, Hannah Gordon and Philip Gordon III, both of Pittsfield; a brother Michael Letendre of Manchester; 2 sisters, Suzanne Miller of Grafton, and Kristie Long of NC; a half-sister, Patty Simpson of Montana; nieces and nephews; and her special friend, her dog Jack.  Marion was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly, in 1987.

<title>Carolyn Patterson [05/12/1941 - 11/29/2011] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_109504.jpg" alt="Carolyn Patterson" />Carolyn S. Patterson, 70, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, while at home in the presence of her family after a long, courageous battle for her health.  

Carolyn was born on May 12, 1941, in Newburyport, MA to the late John and Eleanor (Smith) Shillaber. She moved to Hampton Falls at a very young age, where she spent time developing a great love for animals, especially horses. She loved to go horseback riding at every opportunity during her childhood years and beyond. She also gave home to numerous horses, goats, dogs and cats over the years. 

She was a member of the first graduating class of Winnacunnet High School in 1959.
Carolyn began her working years at the Steele Hill Inn in Sanbornton, where she met the love of her life and her future husband, Maurice. Carolyn spent the majority of her working career as a secretary for the Pembroke School District, a position she dedicated herself to for over twenty-eight years.  

She was active in her church as a member of the choir and served the congregation in a variety of different ways and capacities. She also enhanced her local community by participating in many benefit variety shows. In 2007 she and her husband were voted Citizens of the Year at Epsom Old Home Day, a small reflection of her warm personality and the depth of her relationships within her community. 

Carolyn was one of the original founders and a lifetime member of the Fort Mountain Trailwinders snowmobile club.  She was an avid snowmobiler who enjoyed many hours on Mudget Mountain and volunteering at the Swift Diamond Riders warming hut in Stewartstown.

Surviving family members include her husband of nearly fifty-one years, Maurice W. Patterson, their two children Diane L. Cheney and her husband Bruce of Paxton, MA, and Glen A. Patterson and his wife Sharon of Pittsfield.  She has four grandchildren, Amber Patterson of Charleston, SC, Kristen and Brandon Patterson of Pittsfield, and Brennen Cheney of Paxton, MA.   Carolyn was the youngest of four children. She is survived by her sister Betty Coleman of Palm Bay, FL, and two brothers, Russell Shillaber of Center Strafford, and Robert Shillaber of North Kingstown, RI.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://stilloaks.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/71_109039.jpg" alt="Mildred Ames" />Mrs. Mildred E. (Palmer) Ames, 88, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Epsom Healthcare Center after a period of failing health.

Born in Auburn on November 3, 1923, Mildred was the daughter of George and Harriett (Keniston) Palmer.  She spent her early life in Epsom and lived over 50 years as a Deerfield resident.  Later in life, she also spent winters in Silver Springs, FL.

Mrs. Ames retired from General Electric in Hooksett after also having worked for several companies in Epsom, Pittsfield, and Manchester,

One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition she loved fishing and was an avid camper.  She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was known for the “premie” caps she made for newborns at Concord Hospital. 

Mildred was the widow of Ralph Ames, Sr. who died in 1985 and was also predeceased by a grandson, Dana Ames, Jr. in 2007.  She leaves 4 children, Ralph Ames, Jr. of Alton, Kenneth Ames of Franklin, MA, Patricia McIntyre of Wentworth, and Dana Ames of Pembroke; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.  Of several siblings, she is survived by a brother, Robert Palmer of Epsom; and a sister, Mabel Laframboise of Latrobe, PA.  She also leaves nieces and nephews.
